Juan Bolívar Bueno (Granada, 1987) is a police officer by profession, but his passion for adventure and mountaineering led him to high-risk sports like canyoning and caving. In 2015, he joined an expedition with the Ilíberis Caving Club to the Uandras canyon in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. He and two other cavers had an accident in which his companions died. The case caused a stir in the Spanish press due to alleged negligence on the part of the rescue teams and Moroccan authorities.
