Alfredo González Rubial holds a PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology from the Complutense university of Madrid, and is also a tenured scientist at the Institute of Heritage Science of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC in Spanish). He has also been a postdoctoral researcher at the university of Stanford. As an archaeologist and ethno archaeologist he has researched from hunter-gatherer communities to post-industrial societies in several countries across the Globe. He is internationally regarded as one of the prominent figures in contemporary archaeology.
